In recent decades, Galician white wines have established themselves as world leaders, especially in the pairing with fish and seafood and with a great impact accompanying rice dishes, pasta and appetizers. Among them, the Rías Baixas designation of origin stands out, with albariño as its main and sometimes exclusive component.
What is an Albariño wine?
Since 1986, with the creation of the Rías Baixas appellation of origin in Galicia, all those wines that have at least 70% of albariño grapes in their production are considered albariños with appellation of origin. Until 1986, the production of white wine, mainly for home consumption and sale in bars and restaurants, was a task carried out in each home, which turned each winegrower into a true craftsman. The great majority of the wineries that today bring Albariño, the Rías Baixas designation of origin, and Galician wines to the best wine shops in the world, have been influenced by this tradition.
The privileged geographical location of the winery makes it a perfect place for hiking, enjoying its forests, rivers and mill routes, as well as numerous nearby points of great architectural and cultural wealth.
The winery is only 2 km from the estuary and the island of Arosa, surrounded by a landscape that makes it even more special. It is worth mentioning the viewpoint of Mount Lobeira, a beautiful balcony overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
